BAM in Stuttgart 21 tunnel JV
Royal BAM Group’s German tunnelling specialist Wayss & Freytag has signed a joint venture contract for tunnel construction as part of the €4.088bn (£3.37bn) Stuttgart 21 rail project.
Germany's Deutsche Bahn awarded the €290m (£239m) contract to a joint venture of Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau, Hochtief and Alpine.
Construction of the 3.8km tunnel in Bad Cannstatt is due for completion in 2018.
