BAM wins Belgian urban development project

7 Jun 16 BAM subsidiary Interbuild has won a €40m (£31.5m) contract for an urban development in Turnhout, Belgium.

The work involves the second phase of the Turnova project in the heart of the town. Interbuild will construct a 650-space underground car park, a 15,000m2 shopping centre and a 72m-high residential building with 49 apartments plus a restaurant on top.

Client for the work is Armada Projectontwikkeling, part of Heeren Group.

Construction is due to start on 1 August 2016 and will take 26 months.
