Barratt Homes and Jewson working together in partnership

Jewson, supplier of sustainable timber and building materials, is now supplying a wide range of timber and sheet materials for a number of sites for Barratt Homes.

Barratt Homes is the only major national housebuilder to be awarded the prestigious ‘5 Star Housebuilder Award’ by the Homebuilders Federation.  The company is one of the leading housebuilders in the UK and has a network of 25 housebuilding divisions throughout Britain.

Jewson was selected as the supplier for a range of timber and sheet materials for a number of new Barratt developments in the West Midlands including: Telford, Wednesbury, Brierley Hill, Perry Barr and Bilston. The decision to partner with Jewson in this instance was due to the merchant's ability to supply Chain of Custody Certified timber and sheet material with fast delivery times to ensure work on site could continue without delays.

"Barratt strives to produce sustainable developments and communities where people aspire to live and constantly strive for performance beyond compliance in all areas of its developments. Therefore Jewson is delighted to be a key supplier providing sustainable products and support to a number of Barratt sites," commented John O'Sullivan, Sector Director - Newbuild at Jewson.

The role of the merchant within the supply chain has changed and Jewson is leading the way developing new service and delivery models to add value for housebuilders.
