Beaconsfield MoD site earmarked for housing
Brownfield regeneration specialist Inland Homes has signed a deal with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) and two local authorities to draw up development plans for a 90 acre site in Beaconsfield.
Inland will work with the DIO, South Bucks District Council and Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) to formulate a detailed development brief for the future of the Defence School of Languages site at Wilton Park.
This site has been identified within the district council’s core strategy for a high-quality residentially-led mixed-use scheme.
Inland owns 20-acres of land adjoining Wilton Park. The Defence School of Languages is shortly to become redundant to the needs of the DIO and Inland’s adjoining land is needed for access to any future development.
Inland Homes land director Paul Brett said: “As highly experienced developers with particular expertise in creating new communities on challenging sites, we are looking forward to establishing a very special new neighbourhood that will flourish and integrate well within its sensitive surroundings."
