Leven Energy provides civil engineering and recycling services for contractors and utility companies.

One of the key features of the E16 is a retractable undercarriage as standard.  When fully retracted, the undercarriage allows the excavator to go through narrow spaces. When fully expanded, stability is maximised, especially for operations over the side.

Bobcat dealer Norwest Plant has supplied the machines in canopy version, and each with a dedicated 2.53m (8ft) trailer, three different-sized buckets and a hydraulic breaker.  The new machines also have an optional long dipper stick, offering an increase in the maximum digging depth to 2602mm and the maximum dump height to 2656mm.

Other equipment includes a safety beacon, additional working lights, a satellite tracking system and Geith manual quick hitch coupler.

The E16 excavator has the ‘cylinder-over-boom’ design, with the cylinder mounted on top of the boom to protect it when working in tight spaces or with attachments.  The oversized diameter of the cylinder enhances the breakout forces and lifting capacity of the machine, Bobcat says.
