Brookfield Multiplex wins contract for Australian nursing HQ

29 Feb 16 The Australian Nursing & Midwifery Federation (ANMF) has appointed Brookfield Multiplex to build its new head office in Melbourne.

The 15,722m2 building will span 10 levels and will include a 400-seat auditorium, a library, student hub, laboratories and classrooms.

Complexities involved with construction include the need to retain heritage facades along two streets in the central business district.

The ANMF building will also have two levels of basement car parking and six levels of offices, three of which ANMF will offer for lease.

Crone Architects has designed a flexible floorplan to provide for the possibility of multiple tenants per floor in the future. The development will target a 5-star As-Built rating under the Green Star Office Version 3 tool.

Construction is scheduled for completion by September, 2017.
