Dubai World Trade Centre has appointed the Carillion JV to build Phase 1A6 of its One Central development, which is located between the current Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre and Emirates Towers in the heart of the city's central business district.
This latest phase of One Central has a built-up area of 182,500m2 and comprises two office buildings of 12 and eight storeys. The contract will begin this month and is scheduled for full completion at the end of 2018.
AFC has already completed Phase 1A2 of the development and is currently working on the contact for Phase 1A5, which was awarded in October 2015. The latest award takes the overall value of AFC's contracts for the One Central development to £400m.
