Contractors wanted for £110m Glasgow sewage works

7 Jun 16 Scottish Water is going out to tender for £110m of improvements to Daldowie and Dalmarnock wastewater treatment works near Glasgow.

Two elements are being advertised, each worth £55m. They may be awarded separately or together.

One part is the design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the engineering elements of a tertiary chemical dosing plant.

The second part is the design, construction, delivery and commissioning of the engineering elements of a granular activated sludge plant.

The contract notice states: “This opportunity is divided into lots to provide opportunity and flexibility of approach however Scottish Water's preference is to award both lots to 1 bidder based on the use of MEAT evaluation.”
