Main contractor Brookfield Multiplex has subcontracted Dunne to carry out the top down construction and concrete sub and superstructure within an existing grade A listed façade at The Glebe in Chelsea. Works at this high specification residential development begin this month.

Secondly, Dunne has been awarded the contract to provide the sub and superstructure works at Derwent’s £105m White Collar Factory development in Islington, London. This involves secant and load bearing piling, a top-down construction of a basement with large concrete core construction and in-situ concrete to a 17-storey tower. Site works here are scheduled to commence in June 2014.

Thirdly, building on its works at the Ferrybridge power station project last year, Dunne has awarded the contract by Sir Robert McAlpine to provide the specialist concrete sub and superstructure elements to the new energy from waste facility at Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire. Dunne says that this contract will involve complex jumpform walls and a slipformed bunker, with works set to begin in mid-April 2014 with a 24 week programme.

And finally, Dunne has been awarded the concrete sub and superstructure works at the new Glasgow College Campus on Cathedral Street in Glasgow – also for Sir Robert McAlpine. The works comprise the concrete foundations, substructure, ground floor slab and several concrete stair cores of both slipform and traditional method of construction. Dunne will move on site this month.
