Farrans seeks suppliers for Rushcliffe leisure centre

27 Jul 15 Farrans Construction is holding an open day for subcontractors in the East Midlands region to put together a supply chain for a £14m leisure centre project.

Farrans has been selected by Rushcliffe Borough Council for the construction of the Rushcliffe Arena. The work will include a 25-metre pool, a six-lane bowling centre, squash courts, a sports hall and fitness facilities.

To support the work, Farrans is looking to recruit local supply chain partners across all trades, from general building to waste management and more specialist trades such as pool water treatment.

Constructionline is hosting a supplier engagement day for Farrans on Tuesday 4th August at Nottingham Forest Football Club. The event will provide local firms with details on how they can secure work on the project and the selection criteria needed to qualify.

Farrans Construction director Raymond Millar said: “We’re keen to engage with local SMEs and establish a supply chain in the region as we experience an increasing workload in the area. Our procurement staff will be available to answer any questions local firms may have about the project and how they can best go about applying for work with us.”

The event will run from 10am until 3pm. To register interest, go to: www.constructionline.co.uk/events
