Renewable energy specialists Community Windpower Ltd is building 19 new wind turbines at Aikengall II Community Wind Farm, east of Edinburgh.
At 145 metres high, these turbines will be among the tallest in the UK.
Hope’s Dunbar and Dalkieth readymix plants supplied the bespoke concrete for the foundations using 17 mixer trucks on Tuesdays and Thursdays over a two-month period.
Set to be commissioned in August 2016, the wind farm is expected to generate 68.4MW, supplying electricity to more than 42,000 homes.
