Mecalac dealer Chippindale Plant is providing JN Bentley with four heavy-duty Mecalac TA9 dumpers, fitted with extra safety features.

Mecalac (formerly Terex GB) has fitted its Hazard Detection technology as standard, alongside high-visibility step and hand rails, green flashing seatbelt beacons and road light kits for legal highway travel.

Hazard Detection is similar to the parking sensors on most new cars these days. It uses radio-frequency energy at long wavelengths to bounce-off remote objects to identify obstacles. The driver is alerted through a screen on the dashboard, alongside proximity warning alarms. Mecalac’s system is supplied by Vision Techniques.

Chippindale Plant joint managing director Nigel Chippindale said: “With a state-of-the-art suite of model technologies, Mecalac equipment is the perfect solution. Specifically designed to maximise operator efficiency while setting the standards in on-site safety, there’s a perfect model for every application.”
