Dr Millard will sit on the group technical committee with a brief “to ensure alignment between the overall group strategy and the engineering excellence group’s activities,” Laing O’Rourke said.
Before joining Balfour Beatty in 2011, he worked at Heathrow Airport for seven years and was head of engineering for the Terminal 5 project, which Laing O’Rourke built. Prior to that, he had 20 years in the automotive industry with leading car marques.
