Leeds planners approve Downing's £25m student block
Contractor George Downing Construction has been given clearance to start on a £25m student accommodation tower block in Leeds city centre next year.
Parent company Downing, the developer, has received planning consent for the 21-storey block, to be built next to its Central Village scheme.
Work will start on site in early 2013 for completion in 2014.
The building represents phase 2 of Central Village. The £40m first phase of the mixed-use development is set to be completed in September 2012.
