Motts to advise on BAM's Hague PPP

4 Mar 13 Mott MacDonald has been retained as lenders’ technical advisor for the new Supreme Court building in the Hague in the Netherlands.

It has been appointed by Poort van Den Haag, which is a consortium of BAM, PGGM, Claus & Kaan Architects, Arup, ISS Integrated Facility Services and DGMR. The equity for the project is being provided by BAM PPP and joint venture partner PGGM, a large pension fund.

The consultancy will carry out construction and operations monitoring during the next phases of the public–private partnership (PPP) project, which reached financial close on 23 January.

The new premises will be situated in the centre of The Hague, on the site of the former French Embassy and Axa building which will be demolished. Facilities will include offices and courtrooms with a floor area of 15,000m2, as well as an underground car park.

The Supreme Court is due to be handed over to users in 2015.
