Pentaco Construction appoints new business development manager

31 Aug 12 At a time when many construction companies are reducing staff, Norwich building contractor Pentaco Construction is bucking the trend.

The company has appointed Andrew Richman as regional business development manager following some notable contract wins this year in East Anglia and across the UK. Andrew will be responsible for expanding Pentaco’s current construction operations in Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex.

Andrew joins the company with a strong background in national contracting and business marketing. He has previously held key business development posts with construction and regeneration group Morgan Sindall and building contractors ISG Jackson in the region.

“This is an exciting time to be joining Pentaco Construction which, since its establishment in 2004, has seen year-on-year growth in spite of a difficult business climate for the construction sector,” says Andrew Richman.

“I believe the company’s success is due to a talented management team who are all experienced senior managers from major national construction companies. They know how to set up and deliver a project properly and cost-effectively and they understand great customer service. My role is to build on this success and help the team expand our construction activities within East Anglia and beyond.”

Recent contract wins

Most recently Pentaco Construction has been awarded a sizeable refurbishment project to create a new Respite Care Unit, in Taverham, Norwich. The company has also recently completed a programme of refurbishment works within ambulance stations across all of East Anglia for the East of England Ambulance Trust and is currently on site with a £1.25 million refurbishment scheme for Volvo in Aberdeen.
