The SiteZone proximity warning system uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to reduce the risk of site personnel being run over by mobile plant.  The system works by having the workers where a transponder that warns plant operators that they are nearby.

OnGrade director Gary Escott hopes the new partnership with ESS Safeforce will extend the use of the SiteZone system, which has also been adapted for rental markets.

“We recognised that the option to rent the SiteZone technology was essential to customers for a variety of reasons,” he said “which is why we developed the Easy Fit Kit. Now, with our partnership with ESS Safeforce, customers have easy access to the technology at competitive rates from a company which has built its reputation by specialising in similar types of technology.”

ESS Safeforce survey director Gary Ridsdale added: “Our initial experiences of the product with our existing customer base have proved extremely successful – clients quickly realise how invaluable this system is.”
