This strategic development is designed to improve the connectivity between the two and to usher in a new era of growth and opportunities for both countries. As well as facilitating seamless travel, it is seen as enhancing business links and bring the peoples of Malaysia and Singapore closer together.
“Ultimately, this project will give both countries greater stakes in each other’s prosperity and success,” said a joint statement from the two prime ministers, Lee Hsien Loong of Singapore and Dato'Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak of Malaysia.
