T&T joins team for Canadian rail upgrade

The Metrolinx Regional Express Rail (RER) programme will involve the electrification of the rapid transit system for the greater Toronto and Hamilton area in Ontario. The upgrade will increase capacity and reduce travel times for passengers.

Turner & Townsend’s role covers cost estimation, risk and claims management support for the Project Management Office (PMO).

Director Dominic Leadsom said: ”By defining and implementing controls, processes and procedures through the PMO, we will work closely with CH2M and Metrolinx to deliver the successful roll-out of this network-wide programme.”
