As of December 2014, both MBR-71 single drum rollers and transportation trailers will manufactured at Terex’s Coventry factory.

Previously production was subcontracted to Linamar in Hungary.

Terex's pedestrian roller product line dates back to 1976 when Benford began production in Warwick. Terex took over Benford in 1999 and outsourced production of the pedestrian rollers in 2003.

"The decision to bring production of our pedestrian rollers back to Britain comes as part of a wider strategic effort to increase production flexibility of all Terex equipment and meet the market's need for high-quality products delivered on tight deadlines," said Mark Royse, Terex product manager for site dumpers & compaction rollers.

"Previously, our walk-behind roller range has been manufactured internationally. Although this has allowed us to deliver an excellent product at highly competitive prices, the continued expansion of our facilities in Coventry has allowed us to bring full production back to the UK. As well as giving us increased production control, the onshoring move will enable us to deliver greater product volumes on tighter deadline turnarounds.”

Terex also said that components used in the rollers will also be sourced from UK suppliers.
