TfL unveils £350m civils and tunnelling framework

29 Oct 15 Transport for London (TfL) has invited bids for a new civil engineering and tunnelling framework on the Tube, worth up to £350m.

TfL will appoint up to six companies for the eight-year deal.

The framework will support London Underground's (LU) future stations station capacity programmes plus other ad hoc projects. 

It has been divided into three lots: civils; tunnelling; and combined civils and tunnelling.

The scope of the work includes:
Design support and advice;
Construction and construction strategy development;
Instrumentation and monitoring;
Plant provision; logistics; methodology; and management;
Project management;
Utility diversions, protection and enabling works;
Temporary works;
Support to associated planning and heritage consents;
Support to associated land assembly and property advice; 
Support to Transport and Works Act Order application advice and compliance.

Interested bidders must complete a pre-qualification questionnaire by 10 December 2015.
