The Isoli PTJJ36.29 is a 36-metre telescopic boom mounted on an 18-tonne two-axle truck. Features include a two-stage telescopic dual jib and four-position stabilisers with automatic working envelope control. The Italian manufacturer says that competitor models have only three stabiliser positions.
Access Platform Sales (APS), the UK distributor for Isoli, is taking the first production model on tour around the country, to showcase its capabilities to potential customers.

The boom design comprises three telescopic sections, a two-section telescopic jib and a final jib with 155˚ of articulation. The double jib enables ‘below-ground’ reach of 6m, making it ideal for applications including under-bridge inspection work and harbour or retaining wall maintenance.
At full platform capacity of 400kg, it can achieve outreach of 24m, rising to 29m with 120kg safe working load. The platform has automatic self-levelling with enhanced memory functions and a ‘home’ function, which automatically retracts the boom and takes the operator back to the memorised position. Other standard features include a high quality Danfoss electro-hydraulic control system and 180˚ platform rotation for precise positioning. All functions, including the stabilisers, can be operated via radio controls. Options include a platform-mounted winch.
A prototype of this machine was exhibited at the Bauma 2013 trade fair, as the PTJJ36.27, but and an extra 2m of outreach has since been added.
Isoli appointed APS as its exclusive UK distributor last year. The APS-Isoli roadshow sets off from Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire on 3rd March.
