Skanska was leading a joint venture with Mapp Construction and had a 70% share of the contract (link opens in new tab). The project involved the a mixture of expansion and renovation work for the Patrick F Taylor Hall building, which contains classrooms, labs and offices for the college of engineering.
No explanation was given by Skanska for why the project is being halted. It said only that the cancellation will reduce the order bookings for Skanska USA Building for the first quarter of this year.
