Facilities will include an eight-court sports hall with a seating capacity for 1,400, an eight-lane 25m swimming pool, an 80-station gym and dance & fitness studios.

The Ellesmere Port Sport & Leisure Village is funded by Cheshire West & Chester Council with the help of Sport England. The new 6,000m2 building, designed by Ellis Williams, replaces the old Ellesmere Port Indoor Centre (EPIC).

Completion of the project is due for spring 2015 and will be built concurrently with the new Northwich Memorial Court leisure development, which is also being managed by Wates.

The project was the 100th contract to be procured through the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) framework
