Work to reclad and refurbish the Sinclair Building on the campus began last month. This building is home to the university’s psychology department.

This is the first stage of a £130m programme of refurbishment works at the campus planned for the next 10 years.

In March 2016 work is set to start on a £20m project to transform the former Library into a new home for the faculty of business. This project will also see the Clerici building refurbished and the Main Hall demolished and rebuilt. The Clerici main lecture theatre is set for demolition. The contractor for the Clerici, former Library and Main Hall projects is still to be decided through an ongoing framework competition.

Turner & Townsend is project and cost manager for the works. The consultant is also delivering the turnkey design.
