Sad news reached me on Friday evening that Edward Duckworth had passed away after a short illness. Edward, who was 47 years old, had been struck down with the cruel disease CJD and passed away peacefully at 5.15pm on Friday. Edward was a keen plant enthusiast and a massive supporter and contributor to the Digger Blog, I had never met Edward personally, but we had many interesting chats on Facebook about machines and life in general.

I hope you will all join me in sending your deepest sympathies to Edwards wife Wendy and his family at this sad time. I know Edward would love this video as he was very keen on his heavy mining kit.
