Sandwell Training Association has been established since 1963 and offers a comprehensive range of training and NVQ's for the construction industry.
Sandwell Training based in the West Midlands are qualified in all aspects of commercial and construction plant vehicle training and have many years experience in the construction industry and use of construction plant machinery.
Our training is competitively priced and is run by CPCS/NPORS registered rainers/assessors.
The awarding bodies that we use are: Construction Plant Register, National Plant Operation Registration Scheme, Construction Plant Competency Scheme.
As part of the CPCS scheme, all your plant operators that hold CPCS cards need to undertake an NVQ for each item of plant they are qualified to operate. Our system for delivering these NVQ's ensures that it is both quick and easy for you to get your operators through the process. 100% funding for NVQ's is available for all size companies as is CITB grants.

Our trainers/assessors have over 20 years construction experience including general building, plant, ground work, road construction and health and safety advisory services.

Sandwell Training is a fully accredited CITB/City & Guilds training centre offering specialist NVQ�s in Plant Operations, as well as Construction Plant Competency Scheme (CPCS) /National Plant Operation Registration Scheme (NPORS) plant training and assessments on all categories of plant including 360 excavator, 180 excavator, mini diggers, forward tipping dumper, articulated dump truck, ride on roller, telescopic handler, lorry loader (Hi-ab), loading shovel, rough terrain forklift, cranes etc.

Construction Plant Certification Scheme (CPCS), Health and Safety training are aimed at operators of plant in the construction industry. Other subject areas include fork lift truck, NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH, First Aid, Abrasive Wheels, Slinger and Banksman, Confined Space training, Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness to Management Safety training schemes.

Now having fully qualified and a licensed workforce means that employees who were previously classed as unskilled are finally having their very valuable contribution to the workplace recognised.

Fully funded programmes are available through national skills programmes to all people in work, providing they meet the chosen criteria.

Employers can also claim CITB grant to off set the cost of employees eligible training courses and completed NVQ�s.
