APS is the first UK company to place orders for Terex’s new Genie Z-33/18 lightweight compact electric boom and the Genie Z-62/40 diesel articulating boom lift.

Richard Tindale, sales & marketing director for IAPS Group, parent company of APS, said: “Having seen and tried these new products, we had no hesitation in placing orders. We wanted to give our loyal customers the very first opportunity in the UK to benefit from the advanced features and performance that these superb new Genie machines offer.”

The Z-33 is an all-electric lightweight (3,640kg) self-propelled articulated boom lift with 12m maximum working height and 4.3m of up & over clearance. With minimal tail swing, a tight turning radius and capable of passing through standard double doors, it is designed for both indoor and outdoor maintenance applications where space is restricted.

The new Z-62 articulating boom lift replaces the Genie Z-60/34. Working height increases from 20.4m to 20.9m and maximum horizontal outreach extends to 12.5m compared to 11.0m on the Z-60. Up-and-over clearance remains 7.8m with a maximum lift capacity of 227kg. It also allows a below ground reach of 1.7m. Machine weight is less than 10 tonnes.

These latest orders are part of a growing commitment by APS to the Genie brand. APS has marketed Genie’s aluminium material and personnel lifts in the UK for many years.
