TRANSPORT MANAGER (£32,000 to £38,000 dependent on experience)

You will be working for one of the UK's largest social housing organisations, giving you a great opportunity to enhance your career and CV

Job Role

You will be responsible for maintaining the organisations fleet of approx 170 light goods commercial vehicles utilised by mobile operatives based at multiple hub locations.

You will ensure all health and safety, legal, operational and maintenance requirements are met in respect to both drivers and vehicles.

You will ensure the business remains compliant with all regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

You will be responsible for the development of specification and ordering of new fleet vehicles.

You will manage the vehicle allocations, including temporary hires, deliveries, collections, accidents, Fuel Cards and repairs.

You will ensure all aspects of maintenance (tyre checks, servicing, MOT etc) is compliant to the maintenance manual and the Law.

You will make sure all fleet assets and drivers have a full audit trail with all paperwork and systems updated in a timely manner.

It will be your responsibility to investigate all accidents and complete all accident reports.

Person

You will have previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record on managing a fleet if vehicles is essential.

You will have demonstrable knowledge of necessary legal compliance and legislation.

You will have an ability to think logically, work flexibly and make decisions quickly.

You will be able to work and communicate effectively with individuals at all levels.

IT skill are essential for this role as you will need to create reports, analyse date and administer vehicle tracking/analytic system.

You must be ROSPA accredited and have a full UK driving licence.

It would be desirable that you have a recognised Fleet Management Qualification (FMQ)
