Design & Specification Engineer

Job Description

Working across a multi-functional Central Design and Engineering team the Design and Specification Engineer will be responsible for control, creation and changes to technical specifications, drawings, models and associated documents which are used for the manufacture and installation of the company's range of standard products and accessories. Role Details

• Salary: £32,000 - £42,000 (Dependent on experience and evidence of meeting role responsibilities)
• Role based: York, YO32 9PT
• Contract type: Permanent
• Annual leave: 25 plus bank holidays

Role Responsibilities * Create, change & maintain accurate technical 3D models, drawings and written specifications. * Support the business units with accurate manufacturing and installation details. * Provide general technical support across the business. * Continually develop and improve the performance, effectiveness and efficiency of our standard products and accessories. * Ensure that all Health and Safety & Zero Harm initiatives are undertaken. * To use a combination of specialist knowledge and understanding to optimise the application of existing and emerging technology. Our Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who has: * An HNC or equivalent in engineering or construction * The ability to think practically with an understanding of construction, manufacturing and engineering * Competency in authoring technical documentation * Knowledge and experience of ERP system process and applications * The ability to engage, influence and manage senior stakeholders * Experience in 3D modelling * Experience in modular building design Even if you do not match all of our `ideal' criteria we would still be very keen to receive your CV as we love developing our people and may feel that you could be developed into this role.
