Electrical Supervisor

Job Description

To ensure all Ardmore sites have adequate power to ensure sub-contractors can work and to ensure all customer care electrical issues are fixed in a timely manner.

The Project:

Ardmore has been awarded the £75m contract for the main works on its Hackney Yards residential development around Hackney Wick railway station.

The new blocks are split across three sites around Hackney Wick station and include over-station elements. Rising up to eight stories, the brick-clad blocks will provide 190 mixed-tenure affordable units, 31 of which will be affordable rent and 159 units available for shared ownership.


Main Responsibilities:

Co-ordinate Site Temp Works (subcontractor)

  • Carry out a material requisition for sites and the aftersales team.
  • Maintaining electrical equipment for site temps.
  • Manage and coordinate all pat testing and electrical installation testing as required under the regulations and as required by ACL.
  • Supply temp power and lighting as required to the construction site to ensure the site and associated building are adequately lit with available power where needed. Cables, leads, distribution boxes and the like should be positioned to ensure they do not create a trip hazard. Coordinate the site TBS and manage all power required to supply to the welfare units on site.

Materials and Plant

  • Carry out a material requisition for sites and the aftersales team.
  • Maintaining electrical equipment for site temps.

Site Meetings

  • Attend site meetings when required - review agenda and action minutes as required.

Installation

  • Install main power to construction sites.
  • Organise labour to carryout installation as required for lighting and small power attend site meetings when required - review agenda and action minutes as required.

We're Looking For:

  • SSSTS at a minimum
  • Ideally working towards a management NVQ
  • At least 2 years' experience in a similar position with a main or Sub Contractor.
  • Ability to use 4 Projects and Fieldview
  • Level 3 City & Guilds Electrical Qualification
  • Electrical regulations (18th Edition)
