Atlas Winch and Hoist Services was formed in 1994 by Denis Lavery. Highly regarded thoughout the UK and Europe as a winch expert, Denis has used his many years of Industry experience to make Atlas a true speacialist in the Sale, Hire and Service of Winches and heavy lifting equipment. From its' original base in Biggar, central Scotland, Atlas has grown rapidly and has gained a reputation for delivering unique innovative solutions to a variety of heavy lifting and pulling situations as well as supplying essentially standard lifting tackle.

The experience and expertise that has assisted Atlas in becoming sucsessful is increasingly rare in the lifting and winching industry. However, Atlas has been able to further enhance this experience with the addition of Denis's brother Anton to the business. Anton operates the Southern office, adding significant industry knowledge and experience to the business and providing Atlas with a genuine presence in the South of the Country.

Well established in traditional markets such as Marine, Shipping, Oil and Gas and Construction, Atlas has also diversified to offer a range of trailer mounted winches and related products for the Utilities Industry for various cable and pipe pulling applications.

Altas has a distinct advantage over other lifting equipment companies by having the experience to be able to advise customers on the equipment that will best solve their particular lifting or pulling problem. Added to this Atlas are better equipped than most to deal with the larger and more demanding winching and hoisting jobs with a large and varied inventory of winches and hoists available for hire or sale, new or second hand.
