Components & Technology Limited is a UK based manufacturer of specialist cold formed components.

The company is ISO9001 and TS 16949 approved and manufactures high precision, cold formed components in the size range 6 - 45mm diameter and up to 150mm in length.

Our products are now supplied on a global basis into applications as diverse as automotive, engineering, construction and cookware manufacture.

Substantial investment has seen Comptech build on traditional skills but also develop considerable expertise and manufacturing capability in specialist cold forming. In addition, our close ties with universities, research organisations and other world class forming companies means we are able to provide a cost effective solution for most medium to high volume applications, particularly in comparison with traditional turned components.

Central to our ability to provide a cold formed solution are our technical and engineering skills. Our designers are able to take a component drawing or concept and using the latest 3D modelling and simulation packages identify the optimum production route to the final formed component.

The advantages of composite construction in steel and concrete are well known. The available reduction in weight and construction depth, with the resulting economies in cost, have proved irresistible to designers and architects.

Comptech has been manufacturing shear connector studs by cold forming for many years and has supplied the studs to numerous prestigious civil engineering projects such as the tower at Canary Wharf, the bridges over the M5 motorway and the new Terminal 5 at Heathrow airport.

Comptech is the only supplier of shear connectors manufactured by cold forming in the UK and can provide technical backup and expertise in not only the product itself but also the welding process and the welding equipment needed.

Supplied to either the shear connector spec BS5400 or thru deck spec. BS5950, standard size studs can be supplied ex stock and delivered direct to site to suit the contractors schedules.

Sizes range from 13-22mm diameter and up to 150mm long.

All studs are supplied with ceramic ferrules and delivered in robust, sealed drums, palletised for convenient unloading at site.
