Bam Construction has won a £17m deal to build a laboratory for the University of Warwick.
The contractor will design and construct a 4,795 sq m Physics and Chemistry Research Laboratory for the university.
The building will house a microscopy facility and provide accommodation for the Warwick Centre for Analytical Science.
Construction starts on site this month and is due to complete in autumn 2011.
Bam plans to involve local firms in its supply chain for the job, and estimates that around 150 people will work on the project.
