Leading demolition contractors are reporting a recovery in the market, led by south-east England.

The sector has suffered a 50% fall in workload since early 2007, but the top five demolition contractors are seeing orders pick up.
Kent-based Erith, where turnover dropped from £62m in 2008 to £38m last year, expects revenues to climb to around £45m this year, managing director David Darsey told the FT.
