A £23m investment to improve the North Kent road network was announced yesterday by Communities Secretary John Denham.
The funding will allow up to 10 upgrade schemes on the A2 trunk road, a key North Kent route, and the local strategic highway network.
The investment from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) will contribute to the Kent Thameside Strategic Transport Programme which, along with other partners, has created a fund of over £200m that will deliver vital road improvements over the next 10-15 years in North Kent.
