Having successfully demonstrated their modular accommodation offering and design services to Ocean Sky, SGB Rovacabin has been specified to upgrade the existing buildings provided to the private jet hire company at Prestwick Airport in Scotland.
When operations commenced at Prestwick Airport, Ocean Sky chose SGB Rovacabin to supply a two-bay modular building, providing lounge and pre-flight facilities for passengers and pilots. The decision was made to upgrade the existing facilities as operations became more successful, and SGB Rovacabin were immediately called in to design the new modular building.
Eddie Allison, Managing Director of the Ocean Sky Jet Centre at Prestwick comments: “The original two-bay building performed over and above our expectations. When we called up SGB Rovacabin and informed them of our requirements for additional space, they were immediately able provide us with the additional buildings - the whole process was very quick and efficient”.
The new upgraded facilities are housed in a double storey, six on seven bay modular configuration with an internal staircase, totalling approximately 360sq meters of floor space. Containing the main VIP departure lounge, pilots lounge, operations area and admin offices, the facilities provided are a true reflection of the high quality buildings that SGB Rovacabin has to offer.
A further extension to the new modular building has already been carried out, with the jet centre calling in SGB Rovacabin once again to supply their services for a new security centre. The security centre will house luggage x-ray machines and other passenger screening facilities.
