A survey by law firm Taylor Wessing has shown that 75% of developers who responded were concerned that they would be involved in managing, financing designing or building renewable energy generators, as more and more local authorities are requiring that schemes generate their own energy. The Greater London Council already expects 20% of schemes to fulfil this requirement.

Another survey by the Building and Energy Saving Trust says that only 1 in 10 respondents thought that green construction will be unaffected by the current downturn.
