The club has put its existing Pittodrie stadium up for sale after securing outline planning permission for 350 homes on the site.
Barr will build a new 21,000-seat arena at Loirston Loch, with a view to having it readay for the start of the 2013/14 season.
As part of the pre-service agreement with Aberdeen FC, Barr will now work to develop the design of the new stadium in detail and will consult with Aberdeen City Council’s planning team on the proposals regarding discharge of planning conditions.
