“We’re providing much-needed jobs and putting people to work building better roads, bridges, rail, and transit for California,” said Caltrans director Malcolm Dougherty.
The funding allocations include US$2.6m for seismic retrofit and bridge improvements at the connector from eastbound State Route 75 to northbound I-5 and at the Interstate 805 Kearney Villa overcrossing in San Diego; and US$2.3m to install guardrail and concrete barriers along Interstate 8.
