Distribution secured for new van-mounted boom lifts

3 Aug 15 A commercial vehicle body builder is aiming for growth in sales of its van-mounted boom lifts after signing up a major player in powered access as its distributor.

Hull-based Aldercote has appointed APS as the UK distributor for its new range of van lifts.

Aldercote is owned by David and Paul Dillon and the company’s engineering director, Marc Paish. The Dillon family previously owned Priestman Powered Access. APS describes itself as the UK’s leading independent distributor of powered access equipment. It also represents Genie, Hinowa, Omme Lift, Isoli, MEC and Youngman BoSS.

Aldercote director David Dillon said: “We invested heavily in the design engineering of our new boom lifts, so we naturally wanted the best possible sales and support partner to ensure their success. APS has a great combination of experience, manpower and reputation for customer service, making them the ideal distributor.

“With these new products and the appointment of APS as our UK distributor, we are confident we can once again become a leading supplier to the utility and equipment rental sectors.”

APS is investing in new workshop facilities and personnel at its Telford headquarters, where it will fit Aldercote boom kits to vans including the Ford Transit and Iveco Daily. The company’s six field sales personnel will work across the UK to develop the Aldercote brand.
