Euro Auctions enters US market

24 Oct 12 UK-based Euro Auctions has acquired a new auction site near Atlanta in the US state of Georgia.

The announcement comes a year after the opening of its previous new auction site in Brisbane, Australia.

Euro Auctions has acquired the freehold of a 65 acre site that was formally home to another auction facility. Approximately 60 of the site’s total 65 acres is hard paved, making it ideal for presenting large quantities of construction machines and industrial equipment for auction.

“Euro Auctions has long aspired to enter the USA market but plans have always hinged on finding a suitable facility,” said general manager Jonnie Keys. “This site was chosen by Euro Auctions because of the quality of the facility as well as its excellent location. It also provides us with the unique opportunity to be located amongst the hub of the American equipment industry, which will be instrumental to the success of this venture.  We anticipate that the first sale at the new Euro Auctions, Atlanta site will be in the early part of 2013 and we then plan to hold regular auctions there.”

Euro Auctions has always worked closely with USA based auction companies and has a working relationship with auctioneers in America.
