FCO to brief suppliers on NATO fit-out opportunity

13 May 14 Contractors interested in fitting out the UK floor of the new NATO headquarters under construction in Brussels are invited to a briefing in London next Monday.

BAM is nearing completion of the £850m main construction.

However, UK security chiefs demanded control over the fit-out process rather than trust BAM. Three other NATO nations have also opted to control their own fit-out contracts. The rest are happy for the main contractor to do the work.

The UK delegation has the fourth floor, covering 1,900m2 gross internal area.

Fit-out works for the UK offices are expected to take place between January and October next year. Mobilisation on site can begin in October 2014.

The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) is inviting interested parties to attend a supplier briefing to be held in at the FCO offices in London on Monday 19 May at 2pm.

To register your interest, email jon.meadows@fco.gsi.gov.uk with the name of your company and the full names and positions of the two (maximum) delegates who wish to attend.
