The Doosan DX340LC-5 excavator is on hire to Breedon Group’s Boyne Bay Quarry in Banff.  The DX225SLR-3 long reach excavator (below) has been used on a range of applications including wind farms and piling work.

Although based in the Shetland Islands, Garriock Bros opened a plant hire depot in Inverness (Muir of Ord) in January 2015.

The new machines were supplied by Inverurie-based Doosan dealer Balgownie.

Managing director George Garriock said: “We have been using Daewoo and Doosan wheel loaders and excavators for years and they have developed into top class machines.  On a recent visit to the Doosan Bobcat EMEA campus in Prague in the Czech Republic, we were able to test out the very latest Doosan models both large and small and this confirmed just how good they are. The new Doosan excavators have now joined a wide range of equipment we make available for sale or hire, from 85-tonne heavy construction machines to small portable power tools and equipment.”
