The contract was procured through North West Construction Hub (NWCH).
ISG will redevelop an underused plot of land close to Goodison Park to provide a purpose-built hub for the Everton Free School, which will retain its four satellite operations across the Merseyside region. In addition to refurbishing and reconfiguring an existing office building on site, ISG will build two new steel-frame structures. One will be the main school building and the other a sports hall for joint school and community use.
Refurbishment of the existing office building will involve stripping out and remodelling the existing shell, including internal structural modifications to create classrooms. Externally ISG will upgrade and repair the façade to complement the new-build elements of the scheme and create a covered street to link all the facilities.
This latest win builds on ISG’s growing profile on Merseyside, with the contractor also working on the £50m Exhibition Centre Liverpool development.
