Construction work is expected to start at Shurland Park this summer after Swale Borough Council approved Jones Homes’ detailed plans to develop a 10.6-acre greenfield site to the west of Scocles Road in Minster on Sea.

The homes will be built on land next to Jones Homes’ Shurland Place development, which was completed in 2017. Both sites form part of the wider Thistle Hill development which is taking shape at the southern edge of the town.

The first homes at Shurland Park are expected to go on sale this summer, with construction work expected to finish by 2027.

Sara Stanhope, sales and marketing director for Jones Homes Southern, said: “Jones Homes has a long association with the Isle of Sheppey. Shurland Park will be our second development in recent years in Minster, following the completion of neighbouring Shurland Place and the first phase of Shurland Park, where we built 128 homes over a seven-year period. Earlier this year, we completed construction work at Kingsborough Manor – a landmark project which was two decades in the making and where we built 211 large executive homes in the village of Eastchurch.”
