Lend Lease wins £13m BMW headquarter job

17 Oct 13 Lend Lease has won a £13m contract to prepare a new UK headquarters for German car manufacturer BMW in Farnborough.

Lend Lease has been appointed as project manager, cost manager and CDM coordinator for the fit-out of the new 300,000 sq ft UK headquarters.

The new HQ is on a four-hectare site that was formerly Nokia’s office campus. It will comprise three separate office buildings – a total of 28,000m2 of space and two six-storey decked car parks. BMW, which is moving to Farnborough from Bracknell, paid £12m for the site after Nokia relocated to Paddington last year.

Lend Lease previously worked on the BMW i Store for its hybrid range of cars at 56 Park Lane, the motorcycle showroom at 70 Park Lane, the service centre in Battersea – all in London – and a fit-out at its offices in Hampshire.

Lend Lease director of consulting Barry Taylor said: “We are delighted to be able to be involved in this high profile project for BMW and look forward to strengthening our relationship with them here in Britain and hopefully extending this to other regions in which we operate.”
