Founded in 1979 by Peter Livesey and employing over 100 direct staff and 200 via subcontractors, PJ Livesey Group made its name  renovating and restoring period properties and Grade II listed buildings across the UK. In recent years it has also taken on new build projects, sometimes within the grounds of restored properties.

It has recently completed the £67m restoration of Lancaster Moor, a landmark building in Lancaster, converting it into apartments in partnership with the Homes & Communities Agency. The company is about to open new sites at Parkgate, Otley and Beverley.

Now with the support of a £10m facility from Santander Corporate & Commercial, PJ Livesey Group is looking for new development opportunities.

Managing director Peter Livesey said: “This funding deal allows us the security to move forwards and act swiftly when suitable sites become available. Having weathered the recession, we are now in a strong position to pursue controlled growth and are eagerly seeking new opportunities.”
