Chris Goldthorpe started Mace’s cost consultancy business in 2004 and has seen it grow to more than 165 staff in six offices with a fee income in excess of £18.5m.
Steven Mason has been with Mace since 1998 and was one of the founding directors of Mace Cost Consultancy. He takes over as managing director on 1st January 2017.
Mace chairman Stephen Pycroft said: “I have known Chris since the late ’80s when we worked together on Ludgate South, and when we were thinking of setting up our own cost consultancy for me he was the obvious choice. He has done a tremendous job in establishing the business here in the UK and has more recently seen its expansion overseas to North America, the Middle East and South Africa. Chris and the team have achieved consistent growth year-on-year for the business and he’s leaving the team in great shape. I wish him a well-earned retirement.”
