Sarah McCann-Bartlett joins the BCSA in September as director general designate and takes over the reins in December on the retirement of Derek Tordoff. Mr Tordoff has been with the association for 35 years – 27 of them as dg.
From 2001 to 2010, Ms McCann-Bartlett worked for the Building & Plumbing Industry Commissions of the State of Victoria, Australia, rising to deputy chief executive/commissioner. Previously she worked in marketing for Woolmark Americas Inc.
Other changes at the association see Ivor Roberts, managing director of Nusteel Structures succeed Jack Sanderson as president of the BCSA, while Ian Hoppé, director of Rowecord Engineering, has been elected deputy president.
